Who We Are
Transitional Services, Inc. is an innovative human services organization transitioning people with mental health and mental retardation disabilities into the community.
What We Do
For over 35 years, we have offered qualified adults the housing and supports necessary to live successfully in the community. TSI provides residential supports and services to approximately 300 individuals throughout the Allegheny County area. TSI embraces a person-centered approach to service delivery. Using the Psychiatric Rehabilitation approach and Everyday Lives philosophy, we focus on skill building, strengths, empowerment, role recovery, and development of natural supports. With more than 130 dedicated and caring employees who are committed to supporting individuals with disabilities, TSI believes that our employees are our greatest asset.

Teamwork is focusing on the goal over the role. At TSI, we rely on teams to accomplish many tasks from planning agency activities to making changes in service planning. To be a good team member means to always keep focused on the work, not on personal recognition.

Communication is the interaction that fuels action and promotes growth. This is the number one attribute that business leaders say is essential for effective work environments. Being able to communicate clearly, purposefully and with respect is what makes ideas become reality.
Customer Service
Customer Service brings thoughts of good phone etiquette, being helpful, and always remembering to smile. Those are important, but customer service really means “Whatever It Takes!” It is the attitude that we can and will do whatever possible to make sure all of our customers are satisfied.
